Busy July

Yeah, clever title there, Shelby. Whatever.

Ok so the road to getting this blog has been rocky because I just haven't gotten into the routine of writing everyday and July is just so freaking busy for me. Always.

Vacation was pretty good... the baby is growing up WAY too fast. Wish they lived closer so I could see him every single day. Oh well, pictures will have to do until next time. When we got back from good ol vacay we were only home for 2 days and those 2 days I wasn't even really home. Day 1 I went to a local amusement park with 2 friends then we ended up going out to dinner with some other friends. Overall, fun day except the part where I flashed the whole water park coming down the water slide. Whoops. Then day 2 I had work. Yay work. After work I had to pick up my friend and my sisters friend and we went to a 4th of July party at a friend of the familys house. Next day we were all back on the road again headed to Hershey Park for my dads company picnic. Fun time. I absolutely love roller coasters so I had a blast at least.

But anyway! I've had a pretty eventful July so far with the traveling and different cook outs and working. Currently I'm babysitting. Which means I'll have to vaccuum before mom gets home cause theres all kinds of cracker crumbs everywhere. Oh well.

100 Mile Yard Sales are this Friday & Saturday. Which means I have to work and serve the people food... Hmm... Oh, if you dont know what the 100 Mile Yard Sales are, google it.

Harry Potter comes out this week. Which I am SO excited for. I can't even wait. I bought a new shirt last night. It has Harry & Voldemort facing each other, wands drawn. Ahh!

Birthday is next week! Yayyy! I love my birthday. Even though it never ends up being anything super that I need to get excited about, I always do. I'm just waiting for my ultimate birthday. 21 on the 21st. That is the ultimate. It'd really suck to be born on like... I dont know... a small number birthday. Like the 1st or something cause then you have your ultimate birthday and you probably wont even remember it! That would suck. Mine will be the ultimate-ultimatest ( I just made that word up) because I will be TWENTY ONE on the TWENTY FIRST. Wait, I'm not sure why I'm getting so excited cause I'm only going to be 19 this year. I need to stop getting excited years in advance.

The Little Monster

As I'm sitting here trying to figure out what to talk about today my 6 month old baby cousin is sitting across the room staring at me blowing raspberries EVERYWHERE. He's been dubbed by my aunt and uncle as "Peanut" but more often than not they're calling him "Little Monster."

This little kid is awesome though. We've had a fun couple of days together and I dont know what I'm going to do next week when I wake up and he wont be around to play with all day. He's so much fun to just watch. He's in that stage right now where everything amazes him and he's always trying to figure out how stuff works. (And then of course it goes into his mouth.)

Here's one of my favorite things that happened. Last night my aunt had work so after dinner the rest of us went to visit her there. She works at an upper scale bar and grille and Tuesday night is Trivia Night. So we decided to play and try to win $50, no such luck there I might add. While we were there though the Little Monster started getting cranky because it was nearing bed time. So I took him and stood up and started bouncing around. He fell asleep almost immediately and stayed laying on my chest the rest of the time we were there. Theres no better feeling than a Little Monster sleeping soundly on your chest.

So the vacation is coming to a close. We're heading back home today. Stopping off halfway (even though its only a 5 & 1/2 hour drive) and spending the night and doing some shopping. Then we'll really be home on Thursday sometime. Even though I'll be more than happy to sleep in my own bed for the first time in a week, I'm gonna miss the little guy waking me up with his happy noises everyday with a big smile on his face ready to play.

Getting There

Ok so I'm starting to get the hang of this... I think. Oh well, I'll figure it out someday.

So this weekend/week is going to be fun! Tomorrow sometime my family and I are headed to Delaware to visit my aunt, uncle and baby cousin for a few days. We'll spend a few days there going to the different beaches, doing some shopping, playing with the baby of course, and who knows what else. I'll be taking lots of pictures, thats for sure! Then the middle of next week we're heading home and about halfway home we're stopping in Harrisburg for a day or two and doing some more shopping and whatnot. Even though I'm all for going to the beach and laying there all day I think I'm most excited to see the baby and see how much he's grown since I last saw him two months ago!

Ok, these blogs are going to be short for the time being because I really have nothing to say on here yet except giving the boring details of my not so exciting life. I promise it will get better soon! I just have to get myself some followers on here, people for me to follow and get myself active in some weekly postings. That should spice things up! (?) Ahhh well..

The Beginning

Hello World of Blogging!

I've been thinking about blogging for a few months now and I'm finally getting started. Basically I'm just looking for a place to put all my thoughts down, post fun/interesting things I do, and just see where it takes me.

I'm open to ANY suggestions or info about how things work...I'm just clicking through and trying to figure things out as I go! So while I'm figuring things out and getting started please bear with me and eventually we'll have this thing up and running smoothly. *fingers crossed*
